This project provides a comprehensive overview of Mattel, detailing the company’s history, public relations strategies, successes in written communication, and areas for improvement. It explores the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of Mattel, along with tangible examples of work I created for the company, including a broadcast script, planning sheet, press release, appeal letter, organizational story, trans-media news package, flyer, and speech.

This project focuses on current trends in digital communication that are important for public relations professionals. By understanding these trends, they can enhance the relationships between organizations and their publics through collaboration with influencers, the use of podcasts, multilingual content marketing, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and authenticity.
Sony Music Digital Strategy Toolkit
This project presents a thorough report on Sony Music, covering its company background, history, and target audiences. It also explores the social media platforms utilized by the company, current trends in music and media, and its web development analytics, including SEO, SMO, and SEM. Additionally, the report examines Sony Music’s competitors. Based on the insights gained during this research, I developed a content calendar and digital strategy for Sony Music.

This paper outlines the influence of Betsy Plank on the evolution of public relations. It provides a biography of her life and work, highlighting her contributions to the profession and the two-way symmetric model of public relations that characterized her era. Overall, Betsy Plank was a transformative figure in public relations, exemplifying authenticity, transparency, and integrity.
Hillsong Crisis Case Analysis
This paper analyzes the Hillsong crisis, focusing on the verdict of Brian Houston, who was found not guilty of concealing sexual abuse committed by his father, Frank Houston. It explores the crisis in detail, examining the period before, during, and after the events, as well as the actions taken by Hillsong to rebuild its reputation during each of these phases. Additionally, the paper discusses the long-term impacts that crises like this one have on churches.
Hillsong Crisis Portfolio
This paper outlines the organizational background of Hillsong and discusses how they can effectively prepare for a crisis by developing a Crisis Communication Plan (CCP). Additionally, the paper explores the types of crises Hillsong may face, such as misconduct by executives or employees and misstatements of financial information. It offers strategies for preventing these crises and addressing them if they occur. For each crisis scenario, the paper details the potential impact on stakeholders, communication methods, response strategies, and designated spokespersons and publications.
Dove Beauty Analysis Paper
This paper analyzes Dove’s “Real Beauty” campaign, focusing on its RPIE (Research, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation) process. It examines the campaign’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as the goals, public reactions, and outcomes that contributed to its success.
